Mythology of form in ancient Akkadian art

Abstract
This study consists of four chapters. The first chapter presents the research problem, which is summarized in the following question: - What is the mythology of form in ancient Akkadian art? Next, the importance and necessity of this research; the objective of the study is to uncover the mythology of form in ancient Akkadian art, The scope of the research and the definition of terms; Chapter Two, which covers the theoretical framework, consists of two sections: the first deals with ancient Mesopotamian mythological thought, and the second addresses the references for composite forms in Mesopotamian civilization, followed by the findings derived from the theoretical framework. Chapter Three covers the research population, the research sample consisting of four examples of Akkadian art, the research instrument, the research methodology, and the analysis of the sample. Chapter Four presents the research results and conclusions, the most important of which were :-
The use of mythological thought in Akkadian civilization developed as a result of the 1- dominance of its kings and centralized governments, which took an interest in artistic, literary, and historical works; it was at this point that a continuous engagement with all natural phenomena began.
2- Akkadian art dealt with mythology in a magical way through the legends in which the Akkadians believed, particularly those concerning creation and nature. Here, Akkadian artists approached these themes from a mythological perspective, combining realistic and abstract representations of the elements of the universe.
The conclusions include the following :
1- Akkadian art contained many myths that contributed to a variety of ways of referring to mythology, distinguishing it from other Mesopotamian arts.
2-Magic played an important role in Akkadian mythology, in contrast to Mesopotamian art in other civilizations, and particularly in the religious aspect of Akkadian thought.
Then the recommendations and suggestions, and the bibliography
